Queens' College and the Mathematical Bridge

數學橋--數學橋是英國劍橋的一座木製人行橋。它在銀街大橋西北約 100 英尺處，因連接皇后學院的兩個部分而聞名。它的正式名稱是木橋或皇后橋。A popular fable is that the bridge was designed and built by Sir Isaac Newton without the use of nuts or bolts. Various stories relate how at some point in the past either students or fellows of the University attempted to take the bridge apart and put it back together, but were unable to work out how to hold the structure together, and were obliged to resort to adding nuts and bolts. In reality, bolts or the equivalent are an inherent part of the design.

Xu Zhimo became attached to many universities in his life. He was admitted to Shanghai Hujiang University in 1914, and then transferred to National Peiyang University (now Jin University), National Peking University (now Peking University), Clark University in the United States, Columbia University, London in the United Kingdom University, but until March 1922, after he divorced Zhang Youyi張幼儀, he transferred to King's College, Cambridge University for study (auditing) for seven months, and met Lin Huiyin林徽音 and his father. Robinson College is a constituent college of the University of Cambridge. Founded in 1977, Robinson is one of the newest Oxbridge colleges and is unique in having been intended, from its inception, for both undergraduate and graduate students of both sexes.

Despite this, it retains many of the same traditions and institutions of other Cambridge colleges, including formal hall, Latin grace, a chapel and porters' lodge. It was founded through a significant donation from the 20th century British businessman and philanthropist, Sir David Robinson. The college was formally opened by Queen Elizabeth II in 1981 with both undergraduate and graduate students in attendance.

The most not-to-miss (and unlikely to be) of the few attractions on the River Cam is King's College Chapel. Between 1440 and 1441, Henry VI, who was only 19 years old, founded Eton High School and King's College Cambridge, which are still eager to send their children to study. However, the chapel at King's College was not completed until Henry VIII. For more than 400 years, King's College has only admitted students from Eton High School, and they do not need to pass an examination to obtain a diploma.

Clare College Bridge--The oldest of Cambridge's current bridges, this bridge in classical style was built in 1639–40 by Thomas Grumbold (d.1659)It is one of two bridges left standing by the Parliamentarian forces in the Civil War

劍橋火車站 To go to the University of Cambridge, the most convenient way is to take the train from London. There are many trains from King's Cross Station. The fare is about 15 pounds one way, and the round trip is matched with different time periods, about 20 to 35 pounds around, an hour's drive.
