The morning sun gently welcomes us as we leave Nagoya (名古屋市・なごやし, Nagoya-shi) and travel toward Hamamatsu (浜松市・はままつし, Hamamatsu-shi). We pause at the historic Hamamatsu Castle (浜松城・はままつじょう, Hamamatsu-jō) before continuing to Shizuoka City (静岡市・しずおかし, Shizuoka-shi). Soon, the graceful silhouette of Mount Fuji (富士山・ふじさん, Fujisan) rises before us. Standing together at the Fifth Station (五合目・ごごうめ, Gogōme), we breathe the cool mountain air, and for a quiet moment, the world seems wonderfully still.
Our journey carries us through the beautiful Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park (富士箱根伊豆国立公園・ふじはこねいずこくりつこうえん, Fuji-Hakone-Izu Kokuritsu Kōen), into Kanagawa Prefecture (神奈川県・かながわけん, Kanagawa-ken), and the vibrant harbor city of Yokohama (横浜・よこはま, Yokohama). Every town, every road, and every new view becomes another page in our family's adventure.
Then comes the moment my daughters have been waiting for—Tokyo Disneyland (東京ディズニーランド・とうきょうディズニーランド, Tōkyō Dizunīrando) in Tokyo (東京・とうきょう, Tōkyō).
The instant they pass through the entrance, their faces light up like the morning sky. They laugh without restraint, wave excitedly at every Disney character, and run hand in hand from one attraction to another. Their eyes shine with wonder, as if they have stepped into a world where dreams truly come alive.
I do not need the rides or the fairy tales. My greatest joy is simply walking a few steps behind them, watching their carefree laughter fill the air. Every smile they wear becomes a quiet happiness within my own heart. At that moment, I realize that the most beautiful scenery of this journey is not Mount Fuji, nor the cities we have visited—it is the pure happiness on the faces of my two daughters.
I silently wish that time would slow down, allowing this precious day to last just a little longer. If I could ask for only one thing, it would be that they always remember this day with the same innocent smiles they wear now. As their father, nothing could make me happier.
